Eurovision Song Contest at EHRENBERG Kommunikation PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 14 May 2013 00:00

IREatEK

At the time of writing these lines, the Eurovision 2013 is 4 days, 9 hours and 17 minutes away. With Malmö being the host city and home to one of our local offices, we are very proud to have an official share in the international musical celebration. Our own Linn Brekell, Consultant on the Swedish market, is the head of the entire Irish delegation and is responsible for making their stay in Malmo a pleasant and memorable one. This gives us particular pride, as we are also the agency of choice for the Irish tourist board in Sweden.

A few days ago, we welcomed the 2013 Irish entry to the Eurovision Song Contest, Ryan Dolan, to our local office in Malmö. We are delighted that Ryan Dolan took time from his busy schedule to visit our office during the preparations for tonight, when he sings in Semi-final 1. Ryan Dolan and his crew rehearsed the song, ‘Only Love Survives’, when visiting the office.

Founder and CEO of EHRENBERG Kommunikation, Magnus Ehrenberg, comments: “We are very proud that Linn is heading the Irish delegation and are pleased to be able to accommodate Ryan Dolan and his team during their stay here. We are of course also very happy that Ryan and his crew are assisting in promoting the emerald isle while over in Sweden, as we are working closely with Tourism Ireland”.

In 2013 Malmö is the host city of the Eurovision Song Contest as Sweden won last year in Baku, Azerbaijan, with Loreen performing Euphoria. Malmö is also the home of EHRENBERG Kommunikation and we are delighted to be part of the most spectacular party in Malmö in 2013, the Eurovision Song Contest.

EHRENBERG Kommunikation adds Hedmark & Värmland to the portfolio PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 19 March 2013 00:00
Selma Lagerlöf, the Swedish writer, who was born and raised in Värmland, wrote about the wonderful adventures of Nils Holgersson, who saw the world from the back of a goose. Now it is EHRENBERG Kommunikation's turn to go on a wonderful adventure in the birthplace of Selma Lagerlöf, as we are proud to welcome the destination of Hedmark & Värmland under our wing. Under the headline "One destination - two countries", we are looking forward to promoting the destination and everything it has to offer in Denmark.

Hedmark in Norway & Värmland in Sweden are not the typical vacation spots, as it is a cross-border destination with a cornucopia of both classic and untraditional activities to offer. For the active family, Hedmark & Värmland is a great place for a holiday year round. If you are into outdoor activities such as cross country skiing, ice–fishing and ice-skating in the wintertime or rafting down the river of Klarälven, safari of the local wildlife and other outdoor activities in the summertime, you will not be disappointed.

For holiday travelers interested in culture, history and the good life, Hedmark & Värmland also has a lot in the portfolio. Besides from offering extraordinary nature and landscapes in all four seasons, Hedmark & Värmland has a strong tradition within crafts and its locally produced glass art.

"As Scandinavian PR-experts, we are very happy to welcome the Nordic region of Hedmark & Värmland to EHRENBERG Kommunikation. We are proud that they have chosen us as their PR-partner of choice and are looking forward to generating a lot of traffic from Denmark to the destination", says Magnus Ehrenberg, CEO and founder of EHRENBERG Kommunikation.

ITB in Berlin – always worth a date PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 12 March 2013 00:00
With more than 10.000 exhibitors courting for attention it takes something to make your voice heard at the World's largest travel trade fair, ITB, that ended on Sunday. "Are you looking for a holiday-romance or do you want to really fall in love?" is the question EHRENBERG Kommunikation asked journalists previous to our Island-Speeddating event that celebrated its premiere at this year's ITB. Seven clients – Greenland, Bornholm, Fanø, the Faroe Islands, the Åland islands, Smyril Line, Viking Line and Færgen – each had their own table and "dated" with twenty German journalists. Within only two hours this was an excellent opportunity to build new relationships and learn about the stories behind the destinations and carriers. Certainly, this was only the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

speeddating 2 dscn1063 speed_dating_neu

As ITB nights tend to end with social events EHRENBERG Kommunikation also offered a solution for the morning after: the "EHRENBERG hang-over breakfast". Here we presented our clients and themes for 2013 to a selected group of journalists in an informal setting. We can report that no one showed up with a headache and all left the event with a bag full of ideas for research trips in the coming months.

Change is certainly a virtue but in line with our motto of "sexy conservatism" we invited EHRENBERG's clients to our annual client dinner again, this time at Lasagneria Il Punto in the heart of the German capital. Besides many of our business partners we could welcome a number of members of the German Bundestag and were happy to hear introductory words by the chairman of the parliament's tourism committee, Klaus Brähmig, MdB.

Tuesday, 22 January 2013 00:00

EHRENBERG Kommunikation have had a successful kick-off at the large Danish travel fair Ferie & Fritid in Copenhagen with fruitful press events for two of our long-standing costumers, the ferry operators Scandlines and Færgen.

44.277 visitors came by this year’s edition of Ferie & Fritid at the Bella Center in Copenhagen and about 60 travel journalists attended the press meetings for our clients on the opening day of the fair. Besides hosting press meetings, the fair of course also provides an excellent opportunity for networking with key journalist in an informal setting.

frgen_pressemde13 scandlines_pressemde21

At the joint Scandlines brunch and press meeting, the ferry operator presented their new experience catalogue – a brand new brochure of experiences in Northern Germany with attractive offers. Scandlines was accompanied by the latest news from the German destinations Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Brandenburg and Berlin.

Færgen invited the journalists on a maritime lunch and along with unveiling some of the new initiatives for 2013, the journalists were also offered a ticket into Færgens very own ”Island Cinema”. Here they were taken on a visual journey into the inspiring holiday experiences of the islands of Samsø and Bornholm - of course popcorn was served to create the right cinema atmosphere.

The EHRENBERG Kommunikation team kicked of the year in Bella Center and next stop on the exhibition road is the worlds leading travel show, ITB in Berlin from 6th - 10th of March 2013. Here, EHRENBERG Kommunikation will be present with a new concept including a special “Island-hopping-speeddating” media event and a journalist breakfast to further strengthen our network of contacts to leading German-speaking travel editors in creative, informative and personal settings. This year’s trade fair season will be rounded off at TUR in Göteborg from the 21st – 24th of March 2013. We are looking forward to seeing you there.

It is with great pleasure we look ahead and welcome 2013 here at EHRENBERG Kommunikation. The new year has begun with a range of exciting plans for our current clients and the welcome addition of two new destinations to our growing family of customers.

We are proud to add two new tourism destinations to our portfolio, namely Niedersachsen and the Faroe Islands. These two interesting customers further strengthen one of the core business areas of EHRENBERG Kommunikation: reasons-to-go PR-campaigns executed by our local PR specialists.

tmn faroe_logo

Founder and CEO of EHRENBERG, Magnus Ehrenberg, comments: “It is a great pleasure to have more destinations joining us here at EHRENBERG Kommunikation, and we will continue to deliver strong results through our large network of media contacts. Having focused on tourism and transport for almost 20 years gives us a unique position within destination PR in our core markets of Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Germany”.

TourismusMarketing Niedersachsen

Niedersachsen, a federal state in North-western Germany, is a region full of contrasts: from a varied landscape and wonderful cities to exciting culture. For many Danish visitors the region is mostly known for the hilly Harz area and historic city of Hannover. Niedersachsen has plenty to offer families, culture lovers and travellers not least with an interest in outdoor activities. EHRENBERG Kommunikation will be the PR representative for TourismusMarketing Niedersachsen in Denmark, and it will be a pleasure to deliver the many fascinating stories from the region.

VisitFaroeIslands

Journalists in Germany can look forward to more exciting stories from EHRENBERG Kommunikation about the North Atlantic. We are delighted that VisitFaroeIslands has chosen us to support them with their communication in this important market. Overwhelming nature, friendly people and numerous outdoor activities await the German media only a short flight-connection or relaxing ferry-cruise away from the European continent. This fantastic destination strengthens EHRENBERG Kommunikation’s key competence as travel PR expert for the North.

Merry Christmas from EHRENBERG Kommunikation PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 18 December 2012 00:00

Christmas is a time of festive traditions, also here at EHRENBERG Kommunikation. Surrounded by a landscape dressed in white, we last Sunday held our annual Christmas-tree-cutting event for customers at the beautiful Svenstrup Manor in Borup in Denmark.

As the name suggests, it is about handpicking and cutting that perfect pine tree for the holiday and spending a cosy time with friends and colleagues. Coming from the snow cold winter outside everyone had the chance to get warm again in the tent where traditional Danish food and drinks were served. A special group of guests - the children - could take a ride with a small train, sit in Santa’s chair or bring their family along for a relaxing ride with the horse carriage.

To Magnus Ehrenberg, owner and CEO of EHRENBERG Kommunikation, it was a great pleasure to experience the many guests embracing the festive EHRENBERG tradition:

”I am very pleased that our clients and their families are enjoying our Christmas event and make a day out of it. Christmas is all about being together and having a cosy time. By inviting our guests to go to the pine forest near Svenstrup Manor and pick their own tree, we hope to contribute to a holiday filled with the right Christmas spirit.”

A warm hearted merry Christmas and a happy New Year to everyone from the EHRENBERG Team in Malmö, Lübeck, Copenhagen and Oslo. We are looking forward to an active and successful 2013 together with you.

Three weeks - three parliaments - three political milestones PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 23 October 2012 12:49

At EHRENBERG Kommunikation we continuously access important decision makers across Europe. On behalf of our customers, we also organise a large number of interesting events, which have become permanent items on the politicians' agenda. During three action-packed weeks of October, we will have hosted events in Copenhagen, Berlin and Strasbourg. Founder and CEO of EHRENBERG, Magnus Ehrenberg, comments: "Bringing together corporate and political interests in one room - with the proper preparations and plans in place - provides a fruitful platform for interesting debates and personal networking."

One of the strong traditions is the bi-annual breakfast meeting, where our German customer DSR-Hotel-Holding hosts a discussion on recent developments within the field of tourism. This year's meeting was held on the 17th of October in the members' section of the German parliament in Berlin with the topic of "health tourism" - an important issue not only for Germans but for all Europeans.

three_parliaments

The week before our Danish client the Port of Aarhus invited a number of important decision makers to a lunch meeting at the Danish parliament. The main topic was the large developments at the port during the latter years and the significance of being a member of the EU's Core Network in the port's ambition to becoming the most efficient business port in Europe. Among other the Danish Minister for European Affairs, Nicolai Wammen, found time in his calendar to substantiate the importance of the right port infrastructure.

On the 24th of October the time will come to take the show to the European Parliament. Here we will help the ports of Aarhus and Goteborg conduct a Round Table meeting hosted by Danish Member of Parliament Anne E. Jensen. The guests will be a number of parliamentarians from many different countries. The two ports have jointly developed a new communication tool as part of the EU project Motorways of the Sea.

SalzburgerLand new customer at EHRENBERG

EHRENBERG Kommunikation is welcoming the winter with another great customer in our portfolio. SalzburgerLand in Austria has an abundance of travel experiences to offer and EHRENBERG Kommunikation is looking forward to help spread the messages in the Nordic region.

In the winter SalzburgerLand among others offers great skiing opportunities and in the summer, when the landscape changes from white to green, the extraordinary nature is waiting to be explored. EHRENBERG Kommunikation is looking forward to a trip down the slopes and the green hills with SalzburgerLand.

Thursday, 12 July 2012 09:00

Linn_Brekell-NFSpecific market competences and a strong knowledge of a country’s media landscape are some of the hallmarks at EHRENBERG Kommunikation. This certainly also goes for Sweden and its southern most peninsula of Skåne – a region with its own distinct identity and cultural perception.

Now we strengthen our communicative and commercial competences in one of our most important markets even further. In the beginning of August, Linn Brekell will join our team in the heart of Malmo as new PR consultant on the Swedish market.

Linn has previously worked as press officer for the Northern Ireland Tourist Board and as PR and publicity officer for Tourism Ireland in the Nordic Region. She has also worked in sales and marketing, holds an education in PR and is a trained travel guide.

“Besides being my birthplace, Sweden is a country with great business opportunities - if you know how to seize them. In order to truly harvest the potential of the Swedish market, you need to have a strong understanding of the market identity, the consumer buying behaviour and above all adopt a very targeted approach. With Linn’s vast experience in media communications in Sweden and many years of work in the international tourism industry, she is a great asset to our team in Malmo and to our customers”, says CEO and founder of EHRENBERG Kommunikation, Magnus Ehrenberg.

SUMMER NEWS: EHRENBERG Kommunikation reinforces the organisation PDF Print E-mail

New competences to the EHRENBERG Tourism Team

Tina_Baungaard-Jensen_kleinA strong network from the national and internal tourism business, a solid background within communications and a seemingly endless knowledge of every corner of Denmark are some of the skills that Tina Baungaard-Jensen brings with her to the growing EHRENBERG family.

Tina Baungaard-Jensen, former international press officer at VisitDenmark, joins the communications agency as new senior consultant, when the summer draws to a close. With more than 18 years of experience from communication on a strategic and operational level, Tina makes a strong addition to the team.

"Ever since the founding of the agency in 1993, tourism has been one of three core areas of expertise here at EHRENBERG Kommunikation. With as competent, driven and enthusiastic a person as Tina on board, I am convinced that we will be able to deliver even better communication solutions for the tourism business in our core markets of Denmark, Germany and Sweden in the future," comments CEO and founder of EHRENBERG Kommunikation, Magnus Ehrenberg.

Tina has practically grown up in the tourism industry. She comes directly from a position as international press officer at VisitDenmark, where she has worked with public relations for more than six years. Previously she has worked at LEGOLAND, as a travel guide and not least as press officer for the amusement park Dyrehavsbakken north of Copenhagen.

Revitalised management organisation at EHRENBERG

As of 01 August 2012, a revised management structure will come into effect at EHRENBERG Kommunikation. On this date, Allan Sørensen will become Executive Vice President and take on the overall responsibility for all customers and activities within Public Relations in Scandinavia.

The German counterpart Matthias Mies, also Executive Vice President, will continue to be in charge of PR on the Continent. Both will report directly to Magnus EHRENBERG, founder and CEO, who also acts as Head of Public Affairs.

The organisational changes reflect the wish to being able to service the customers on the individual markets even better in the future as well as wanting to offer stronger synergies in terms of cross-border communication solutions.

EHRENBERG Kommunikation wishes all clients, business partners and friends a relaxing and (hopefully) sunny summer!

EHRENBERG Kommunikation rocks Folkemødet on Bornholm PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 22 June 2012 00:00

The 2012 edition of Folkemødet on Bornholm has removed all doubts about the political festival being a one hit wonder. EHRENBERG Kommunikation made its mark with four successful seminars at a prime location in Allinge harbour and with a strong line up of key players from media and politics. Folkemødet hosted no fewer than 748 events, gathered 32,000 guests and was visited by nearly 400 journalists together with numerous politicians and other opinion leaders.

alt alt alt

Following the second version of Folkemødet set in Allinge on Bornholm from 14-17 June, EHRENBERG Kommunikation can look back on a couple of hectic days on the beautiful island which, for a brief period, attracted 32,000 people. EHRENBERG Kommunikation’s hub was a tent on the waterfront along with a boat in Allinge harbour, where clients, politicians and journalists met and mingled.

EHRENBERG Kommunikation’s Allan Sørensen took part in the events and applauds Folkemødet’s putting together of politicians, journalists and business representatives together with voters and customers in a new and lively way. ”Most communication professionals would agree that the content should define the form of any communication activity. However, at Folkemødet the opposite seems to be true. You have to understand the underlying mechanisms of Folkemødet and adjust your approach to the special nature of the event. Once you recognize this, Folkemødet is a strong platform for communicating your messages and a unique opportunity for businesses and politicians to enter into dialogue,” says Allan Sørensen, vice president and senior consultant at EHENBERG Kommunikation.

High profile participants in Allinge harbour

EHRENBERG Kommunikation hosted four events at a sought after spot in Allinge harbour with a strong line up of key players from media and politics. Among the four seminars was an event focusing on spin and journalism with prominent spin-doctors and journalists from Christiansborg and DR respectively. Later on former Danish minister Lykke Friis took charge of a lively debate concerning Germany’s role as a driver of growth in Europe. Other participants at the seminars were the Danish Minister for Culture, Uffe Elbæk, former Danish minister Bertel Haarder, EHRENBERGs own Henriette Kjær, Danish MP’s Flemming Damgaard Larsen and Jeppe Kofod, together with former Swedish minister Cristina Husmark Pehrsson.

”Our main focus was on developing interesting and thought-provoking debates with the right participants. Based on the huge attention our events garnered from journalists and politicians we are very pleased with the result. Combining high profile participants, interesting angles and a central location is the way forward for EHRENBERG Kommunikation and our customers at future Folkemøder,” states founder and CEO of EHRENBERG Kommunikation, Magnus Ehrenberg.

EHRENBERG’s third Folkemøde in the making

Concluding on the second Folkemøde on Bornholm, EHRENBERG Kommunikation is looking forward to next year’s event.

”Folkemødet is a great opportunity for our clients to interact with key politicians and journalists in a relaxed atmosphere. From a business perspective, I predict Folkemødet will become an increasingly important venue for organisations operating in the Nordic area. In particular for Danish companies, but it has also shown great potential for organisations from Southern Sweden. This is why we have already booked a prime spot for next year,” concludes founder and CEO of EHRENBERG Kommunikation, Magnus Ehrenberg.

New competences to the EHRENBERG family

EHRENBERG Kommunikation is pleased to announce that we will soon be welcoming two new faces to our Danish team within Public Relations. Helle Harbsmeier and Anne Laursen are two strong additions to the growing EHRENBERG family that will help us service our growing number of clients even better.

HelleHelle Harbsmeier is 37 years old, holds a degree in communication and brings an abundance of practical experience with PR from among others a Danish communication agency. Before that she worked with communication for the organisation of Danish bus operators as well as Danish Transport & Logistics. In other words, the shipping and transport business is – like ours – her second home. She is fluent in more languages than we can even mention, not least German and Icelandic. She is married and the Copenhagen household also has room for a daughter on 8 and a son aged 2.

AnneAnne Laursen is 34 years old, she holds a Masters degree in communication and most importantly comes with a broad experience within communications and PR. At the moment, Anne is working as a project manager at a smaller Danish communications agency, and she has previously been the head of communication at Dyson Scandinavia. Furthermore, Anne has for many years worked as a freelance journalist for leading publications in Denmark. Anne lives with her boyfriend on Vesterbro in Copenhagen and is a keen traveller - not with Northern Germany, Jutland and Bornholm as the dream destinations, but that will soon change!

Bornholm, Bornholm, Bornholm…

We are fortunate to have been working with Bornholm as a travel and holiday destination for several years. We have strong faith in the attractiveness of this picturesque Island in the Baltic Sea and are happy to announce that our new customer, the travel agency Ystads Resebyrå, feels the same. Ystads Resebyrå has entrusted us with a contract for a summer campaign in order to gain more visitors from Sweden and Denmark to the sunny and rocky Island.

We might as well get used to having Bornholm on the lips, as Denmark’s only political festival, Folkemødet, is set to embark on its 2012 edition from the 14th to the 17th of June.

Helle

Together with several of our clients, we will have a strong presence during the largest political gathering in Denmark. In our tent and on our ship in the harbour of Allinge, we will be hosting four inspiring seminars with topics ranging from spin and the changing media scene in Denmark, the Oresund Region in the global competition and Germany as economic catalyst for Europe. Our seminars will be joined by some of the most interesting names from media and politics, and you can read more about the full programme on our Danish website www.ehrenberg-kommunikation.com/folkemodet-2012.html.

Magnus EHRENBERG, founder and CEO of EHRENBERG Kommunikation, comments "We took a strong leap together with our customers by participating in the first edition of Folkemødet last year, and it has luckily proved to be very fortunate for all of us. This year we know the formula for success and are looking forward to making the 2.0-edition even stronger”. With a humorous glimpse in his eye, Magnus hints ”We currently have offices in Lübeck, Malmo, Copenhagen and Oslo, but considering what is on the horizon at the moment, we might need to expand physically to Allinge, the political capital of Denmark”.

Henriette Kjær and EHRENBERG Kommunikation join forces PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 15 May 2012 09:42
EHRENBERG Kommunikation rearms within Public Affairs. The former minister and long-time member of the Danish parliament, Henriette Kjær, joins the agency as senior public affairs advisor.

NF_HKMEPublic Affairs is one of our main areas of business. And now we strengthen our position as one of the most efficient agencies within Public Affairs even further. Former Minister for Family and Consumer Affairs in Denmark, Henriette Kjær, has joined forces with us at EHRENBERG Kommunikation.

"I am very pleased to welcome Henriette Kjær to our team. EHRENBERG Kommunikation already holds a strong position as strategic advisor for some of the largest players within transport, tourism and logistics in Denmark. And with Henriette on-board we underline and expand our position as the direct mouthpiece between the business community and political decision makers", comments CEO and founder of EHRENBERG Kommunikation Magnus Ehrenberg.

Henriette will primarily work with our clients on the Danish market, advising them on matters of public affairs and using her vast political and professional network to build effective contacts between our clients and politicians.

"Henriette is a skilled political craftsman and communicator with a unique commitment and a huge political and professional network. Furthermore, she has great insight into our sectors from her time as political spokeswoman on matters of transportation for the Danish conservative party. And we look forward to letting our clients profit from these competences", Magnus continues.

"The position as senior advisor is an opportunity for me to combine two of the areas which interest me the most: politics and business. Public Affairs is about bridging the waters between the politicians and the businesses. Only by dialogue between business and state, the politicians will have the best basis for their decision-making. EHRENBERG Kommunikation is among the best within this area, and I am looking forward to joining the team and taking part in the work", says Henriette Kjær.

About Henriette Kjær
Henriette Kjær has been a member of the Danish parliament from 1994 to 2011 for the Danish conservative party and held positions a Minister for Equality and Social matters and Minister for Family and Consumer Affairs. Most recently Henriette Kjær held the position as political spokeswoman for the party and chairman of the conservative group at Christiansborg until she left Danish politics in September 2011.

Premiere for EHRENBERG event at TUR 2012 PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 29 March 2012 10:58
EHRENBERG has for several years represented clients on TUR – Sweden's largest travel trade fair held in Gothenburg - and so even this year. But for the first time we also attended in order to tell our own story. As a public relations specialist in the travel and transportation industry, we wanted to communicate our message and brighten a moment for the guests on TUR. This gave us the pleasure of meeting many exhibitors and trade visitors as well as journalists.

nf_tur1

Barbro McAusland from EHRENBERG's Senior Advisory Group constituted together with the Swedish TV-profile Ingvar Oldsberg, a fantastic host duo for the event. They communicated about communication, travel memories, public relations and Barbro introduced the three main areas of EHRENBERG; travel, transportation and lifestyle. Ingvar was the given organizer of the Quiz, culminating in two lucky winners.

nf_tur2

One of the news Barbro brought was about "Travel Nuggets", our new social media platform. We from EHRENBERG Kommunikation have been travelling around the globe for two decades. Now we have opened our treasure chest and it is full of travel nuggets presented on www.travel-nuggets.com

The whole EHRENBERG team is very happy for all of you visitors for making our premiere on TUR a real success!

Maritime history in Spodsbjerg. The baptism of the beautiful M/F Lolland.

At EHRENBERG Kommunikation we are fortunate to share our client's milestones with them. We are determined to harvest success and days to remember for our clients. We've been in business for almost 20 years now, and during this period, we've been blessed with some unique experiences. One of them took place Friday the 23rd of March 2012, at the name giving ceremony of M/F Lolland in Denmark.

The scenic Danish harbour of Spodsbjerg was covered in sunrays from a warming spring on the coming, and the scene was set for a milestone in the Danish ferry industry and for the Danish shipping line Færgen. Finally M/F Lolland officially got her name, and hundreds of people – including the Minister for Transport, members of the press, national and local politicians and business partners - were gathered to experience the champagne bottle burst on her dark blue ship side.

nf_lolland

M/F Lolland indicates a new era for the ferry business, and especially for our longstanding client Færgen. M/F Lolland – and her sister ship M/F Langeland, which will arrive in May - will tie the region closer together and set new comfort standards. The two new ferries will revolutionize the ferry-crossing between Spodsbjerg and Taars with modern equipment; technically, environmentally and operationally, and they are the first ferries to be build for the route in almost 30 years.

At EHRENBERG we want to mark these milestones with our clients, and therefore we produced a small film to celebrate this event together with Færgen. We are happy to see that Færgen has put the film to good use internally and through sharing with their many followers on Facebook. Happy viewing!

Friday, 16 March 2012 13:21
Since 2011 St. Patrick’s Day has become an important date in our calendar. And that not only because we are happy and fun-loving people. With Tourism Ireland as client in the Swedish, Norwegian and as of 2012 German (MICE) markets our enthusiasm for green destinations has increased even further. Stockholmers have last night been able to share our enthusiasm when Hötorghusen bathed in green light. A two-digit number of journalists took part in a press event where Jan Ohlsson, Book of Travel, Maria Fredin Skoog, Expressen, and Joachim Vogel, Sveriges Televison were recognised with a media award for their outstanding reports about Ireland. We say thank you to Tourism Ireland for a great cooperation and wish everyone a happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Successful ITB 2012 for EHRENBERG Kommunikation PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 12 March 2012 16:55
175,000 tourism experts and visitors attended the ITB in Berlin. And of course, we of EHRENBERG Kommunikation, could not miss the World's leading travel trade show either. Already for the sixth time, we had our own booth at the fair.

Here we offered everything a journalist needs for a good story: From the Belgian design centre Lüttich to the Åland Islands and the kiss between Baltic and North Sea in the Danish North Jutland. Just as in the past years our diverse offer attracted many journalists to our press lounge.

itb2012_1

Our own events were very well received as well. Wednesday, 22 February 2012 14:39

EHRENBERG Kommunikation is happy to team up with two new clients. On behalf of Cykelevent Danmark, the Danish organisation behind the coming one-day bicycle race between Berlin and Copenhagen, a PR-campaign will be conducted both in Germany and Denmark to promote the event scheduled for August 2012. Cykelevent Danmark is supported by strong partners such as Mercedes-Benz CPH and Scandlines and profits from the event itself will be donated to charity. Malmö-based children’s fashion company Me&I has appointed EHRENBERG Kommunikation as PR-agency for the German-speaking markets. The brand is well-regarded in Sweden for its high quality and unique designs, key strengths that EHRENBERG Kommunikation in Lübeck will present to the German market in the coming months.

“Both new clients make a strong contribution to our leisure/travel and lifestyle-segments”, explains Magnus Ehrenberg, owner and CEO of EHRENBERG Kommunikation. “We aim to boost awareness around the Berlin – Copenhagen bicycle race through our cross-border communication expertise providing also this client with a high level of competence and valuable synergy-effects”. And with regards to Me&I Ehrenberg continues: “Being from Malmö myself it feels special that we are now representing three strong lifestyle-brands from Southern Sweden in the German market: Stenströms, Thule and Me&I. And just as the first two companies, Me&I stands for a level of quality and design that motivates us strongly to support a positive development of this client in Germany”.

EHRENBERG Kommunikation at Folkemødet 2.0 PDF Print E-mail

In 2012 EHRENBERG Kommunikation will once again be on the spot at the four-day democratic festival Folkemødet. The new and festive tradition in Denmark takes place from the 14-17 June in Allinge - on the picturesque island of Bornholm.

The biggest political gathering in Denmark is located in the middle of the Baltic Sea – in the heart of our key market. In the name of democracy, Folkemødet last year gathered almost 300 journalists from across the Danish media landscape, 10.000 guests as well as politicians from all the Danish parties – including the Danish ministers and the Prime Minister of Denmark.

Together with our clients, EHRENBERG Kommunikation took a leap of faith by investing in Folkemødet in 2011. "In hindsight we are more than happy about our decision. Most importantly we achieved strong results for our participating partners, but we now also have an insider's advantage moving towards the second edition of Folkemødet," says Magnus Ehrenberg, founder and CEO of EHRENBERG Kommunikation.

Together with some of our customers and partners we have already secured an excellent location in the harbour of Allinge – the main exhibitor area in 2012.

Folkemødet will be an even bigger political event in 2012, and we hope that you want to join us! Be it seminars, political debates or political matchmaking – Folkemødet is for everybody. It all depends on finding the right angle to do the job.

If you want to learn more about how you can benefit from Folkemødet with EHRENBERG Kommunikation in 2012, we welcome you to contact:

Cosy christmas event at Svenstrup Manor PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 11 January 2012 13:09

JulAt EHRENBERG Kommunikation we have made it our distinct goal to ensure that our clients, friends and families get into the right christmas spirit.

This year we invited everyone to join us at a cosy christmas-tree-cutting event in Denmark at Svenstrup Manor in Borup on the 18th of December.

Here everyone could meet, drink the traditional Danish "gløgg" and wish each other a merry christmas. But the most important part was of course the pines. In the pineforest next to the manor, everyone was invited to handpick and cut just the right christmas tree for their christmas eve.

Merry Christmas!

Housewarming party in Malmö PDF Print E-mail

It is done!

EHRENBERG Kommunikation has inaugurated its new offices in Södergatan 26, in the heart of Malmö's pedestrian precinct. With the number of staff growing, there is now plenty of space and so better opportunities for creative work in a pleasant and stimulating atmosphere. The spacious reception area, the conference room and the offices are enriched by works of art from artist friends Avi & Mano.

housewarming1

The invitation to the official inauguration on 22 June was eagerly accepted by clients, politicians, journalists, friends of the business and family members - nearly a hundred people all told - who came to express their good wishes. The sun shone and a bucolic buffet was served in the adjacent courtyard, accompanied by white wine from German vineyards. Soft jazz music provided an elegant backdrop to lively discussions. Of course genuine Lübeck marzipan was served with the coffee.

Magnus Ehrenberg, the owner of the agency, commented, "With this move we have taken a great step for the positive development of our company. The central location of the offices gives us a greater, more visible presence in Malmö and the Öresund region. I am delighted and very happy that so many guests came here today to celebrate with us."

EHRENBERG Kommunikation is everywhere - even in Allinge PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 22 June 2011 13:26

A new and festive tradition within Danish politics - Folkemødet (in English: Peoples meeting) - was kicked off for the first time last week from 15 -18 June. Folkemødet is a Danish counterpart to the famous Swedish Almedalveckan, which each year draws up to 11.000 visitors, 1.000 journalists and 800 organisers to the Swedish island of Gotland. There has never before been a similar event on Danish soil, and the three-day democratic festival in Allinge on the picturesque island of Bornholm in the middle of the Baltic Sea has already been announced as a huge success in 'round one' by the Danish media.
NF_2
The event was not only a success for politicians, media, opinion leaders and the large number of participants at Folkemødet, but also for EHRENBERG Kommunikation and our participating clients.

EHRENBERG Kommunikation was not late to spot the perspectives of participating in Folkemødet, and for several of our customers we among other things organized matchmaking with relevant politicians and established a successful seminar discussing several angles on the future of Danish infrastructure with key focus on ferry transportation.

"From our perspective there are many reasons for participating in Folkemødet on Bornholm - both politically, commercially and media wise. At Folkemødet you have a genuine opportunity to establish an informal relationship with especially politicians, but also media and other decision makers, in order to ensure that your themes will be on the agenda", says Magnus Ehrenberg, founder and CEO of EHRENBERG Kommunikation.
NF_1
Folkemødet 2.0 will be held from 13 – 16 June 2012. We at EHRENBERG Kommunikation have already decided to participate next year and hope you decide to do the same. We are now starting our internal evaluation of Folkemødet 2011 in order to ensure that our experiences from this year can make way for best practices and new ideas on how to attack the big event in the best and most effective way possible in 2012. We will revert with further information shortly after the summer holidays, but please feel free to contact us already now regarding Folkemødet 2012 and what EHRENBERG Kommunikation can do for your company.

New clients and Christmas greetings PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 17 December 2010 14:15
Christmas is approaching fast and just before the year comes to a close, EHRENBERG Kommunikation has some good news to share.

In 2011 we will be assisting Ireland with its public relations work in Sweden and Norway. We owe the contract not least to the creativity of our staff, which came in for special praise. We are delighted that new ideas, concepts and proposals have proven so effective in practice as well. The project will be managed by Anders Engzell in Sweden and Pelle Nilssen in Norway.

The golf hotel Balmer See on the island of Usedom has also put its trust in EHRENBERG Kommunikation and our skills. We are planning activities in the traditional golfing markets Sweden and Denmark for them and the project is to be managed by Frida Löfgren.

Classical communications and new methods of communication, particularly in the digital media space, increasingly go hand in hand. More and more often we discover that “it’s the way that you do it!” The signposts on the road to success include a willingness to look at new ideas, teamwork and pooled competences. On that note, I have a special recommendation for everyone who is still looking for presents or would like to treat themselves over the holiday period. Star winemaker Meike Näkel from the Ahr and top vigneron Markus Klumpp from Baden also work hand in hand when it comes to crafting the finest quality. So the name they gave to their brilliant new pinot noir creation is precisely, “Hand in Hand”. Highly sophisticated, full of red berry fruit, it caresses the palate with entrancing complexity and an impressive finish. A delicious demonstration of what harmonious teamwork can produce. This elegant and timeless wine is a perfect accompaniment to duck or goose.

I wish you all an enjoyable pre-Christmas period, peaceful holidays and health and happiness in the New Year.

Yours sincerely,

Magnus Ehrenberg

Scandinavia: small but distinctive differences PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 12 November 2009 09:01
The Kesselhaus in Lübeck was the venue for the EHRENBERG Scandinavian Seminar which took place on 10 November. Lars Johansen, a travel journalist with the Danish daily newspaper Berlingske Tidende, revealed what is required in terms of media work to make it on to the front page of the travel section. Afterwards, the guests listened to Kim Hall, the freelance journalist and author from Sweden and came to the conclusion that Swedes, Danes and Norwegians were certainly all Scandinavians, but with very typical national characteristics. Because the cultural differences between the individual Scandinavian countries are small but distinctive and are visible not least in business life. As the saying goes, "The Swedes do the factoring, the Danes the selling and the Norwegians buy it”. These characteristics can also be observed in the individual ways that Scandinavian journalists have of working. But Swedish, Danish and Norwegian journalists all have one thing in common: the media market is in upheaval, and Susanne Lindhage, the Danish market manager at EHRENBERG Kommunikation, illustrated the challenges that publishers currently have to face.
